Tourist Destinations in Switzerland is St. Beatus Cave

Before I got married, my brother and I visited my sister and her husband in Switzerland. The 4 of us went this St. Beautus Cave which is now the 9th longest cave in Switzerland. We did climbed the stairs 1st before we arrived in the cave and you can see here there is a falls, is it look great? I like falls as I do like nature. When we arrived, we paid out entrance 1st and there was a lady explained to us about the history, when we get it was interesting to know more about the story of it where there was a man did lived in there before. In addition this St. Beatus cave has beautiful dripstone formations, but its most interesting aspect is its history. The cave was used by man since Stone Age. Its name is derived from St. Beat or (in Latin) S, one of Switzerland’s holy men. Legend tells that he was born about 20 AD in England or Ireland. He was Christianized by Barnabas and then made a pilgrimage to Rome. From there he was sent as a missionary to Helvetia, to Christianize this country. When he arrived at this cave, which was home to a dragon, he killed the dragon and then lived in the cave for some years, until he died. The cave museum contains information about the geological situation, cave surveying and cave diving. Also the history of the cave is explained, including dioramas of the prehistoric inhabitants as well as St. Beatus. I was fascinated with the cave as it was inside nice inside. We had a good time visiting this one tourist destinatination in Switzerland.
