The Jellystone Campgrounds Mammoth Cave Kentucky

My husband told me we are going to visit the tourist destinations in Kentucky which is the “Mammoth Cave” as the ‘longest cave in the world.” I asked him where are we going to stay and he was not sure where we will stay as he said he did not book any hotel yet in there and we planned to stay in Mammoth Cave hotel but he said he read this ‘Jellystone Park” in trip advisor site. When we arrived in Cave City, we did went to Jellystone Park and looked if we really feel to stay in there but then my husband decided that we will stay in there. The funny thing is that I do not even know what really cabin is…only to find out it is a little house, because in Philippines the cabin for us is a room of the house. I told my husband it is funny here in the States as cabin is a house for us in PI but here is just like a joke joke house (lol). Anyway, the man in the ranger station gave us different keys about 4 of them which we can choose which cabin that we wanted to rent in. In 1st cabin that we checked I did not like it and I told my husband that we need to roam around and find the cabin which was circled in the map which are unoccupied and the 2nd one we did not like it also and then my husband said we need to have the 1st one but I told him I did not like it, so we tried to find the 3rd one was circled in the map and finally we liked it and we stayed in there. I can say, it was a good cabin as there is no problem and the one that we rented was in no. 36 and the one was not painted. Inside the cabin, there are some appliances such as coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave and airconditioner. You can see the bed in the picture which I put the bed sheets in there. In about 8:30 we had a bonfire and that was fun as it’s been for a while we did not do it. While we are doing bonfire I was playing my computer and chatting with my best friend as in Jellystone Park they have Wi-Fi. You can see in the picture that I am wearing a thick jacket as it was windy and freezing that time. It was a good experience staying in there. The park was great and I rate it 4 stars since everything was fun staying in there and some others say bad about it and some other say had great experience and you can read the reviews in trip advisor site what people says about “Jellystone Park.” You can see the photos here below the Jellystone Park, our cabin, bonfire while I browsing the web etc.

The Sahara Restaurant Cave City, Kentucky

My husband and I went to Kentucky just for weekend fun and visited their longest cave in the world is called the “Mammoth Cave.” On Saturday afternoon, I was getting hungry and I asked my husband that we should eat somewhere and he agreed, so we did find this “Sahara Steak House.” I can say, the restaurant is popular as it seems the only game in town, there was a Mexican restaurant but we prefer to eat somewhere since about couple days ago we had Mexican food. When we get in the “Sahara Restaurant” it was just kind of few people but then before we left it was getting full. We ate there about 6:30 and the server that we had was very friendly, their menu prices are inexpensive and imagine their steak comes with soup and salad just about $14. I ordered for myself steamed veggies, fried mushrooms and potato with sour cream and butter. It was a good dining experienced in “Sahara Restaurant” and once we will go there in Kentucky, we will eat there again. I recommend their restaurant as their service is great and their food are excellent!

2nd pic my husband's salad which comes with cottage cheese, olive etc. which he got it from their salad bar, 3rd pic is the steak that he ordered and potato, 4th steamed veggies sprinkled w/ pepper and fried mushrooms, 4th pic is my potato with sour cream and butter...

Unique Beautiful Fountains in Bern, Switzerland

I have been in Switzerland 2 times, 1st time when I visited my sister there and that was the time before I got married and that was year 2004 and the fountains that you can see in here during my husband that time visiting me when I was there. In 2nd time my husband and I visited my sister Switzerland last year Nov. 2007 when my sister delivering a baby my nephew Cedric David. When the time my husband as my fiancĂ© that time, me and him roaming around the Bern and he had a “Frommer’s Guide Book” and he read the meaning of the fountain and the story of each one and while he was reading I took pictures of their great statue of fountains. The fountains in Bern are all unique, colorful and beautiful. There are alot of fountains in Switzerland and mostly are portable which is pretty cool as when you are so thirsty you can drink it.

1st picture-Justice Fountain-The image of the fountain represents the traditional iconography for justice: a woman with blinded eyes, a sword and a balance. It is a work by Hans Geing and dates back from XVIth century.

2nd picture- Ogre Fountain(Chindlifresserbrunnen) -The fountain can be found in Kornhausplatz, Bern and it depicts the figure of an Ogre eating a child, with other children around him. This fountain which is the most weirdest that I have ever seen, because he is eating a child as you can see in the picture and there are some story of this fountain which I do not know of them but legend has it that when it was originally constructed children were told not to past the fountain or they would be eaten and there are some even say it is about political statement relating to anti-Semitism.

3rd picture-Piper Fountain(Pfeiferbrunnen)-This fountain is located at Spitalgasse, Bern as you can see the picture the boy holding a pipe and it which is symbol of fun and joy.

4th and 5th picture-Musketeer Fountain-The Musketeer is holding his flag and described on the opening page for Bern and you can see in the picture which I am standing that it surrounded with beautiful colorful flowers.
